Dr. Penick was born and raised in middle Tennessee. She grew up raising and showing dairy goats which grew her passion to love and care for animals and sparked her desire to become a veterinarian. She received her B.S. in animal science at the University of TN in Martin. She graduated from veterinary school from the University of TN in Knoxville in 2019. Her interests include soft tissue surgery, exotics, and pocket pets along with urgent and preventative care. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys spending time with her dogs, Stella and Bo, including taking them on hikes. She is active in her church and teaches Sunday school. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing.
