Dr. Penick was born in Ashland City, TN. She grew up raising dairy goats and riding horses. She attended the University of TN in Martin where she earned her BS in Animal Science in 2015. She then went on to attend UTCVM where she was awarded her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2019.

Dr. Penick is passionate about mission work and has been involved with several overseas mission trips. In her spare time, Dr. Penick likes to spend time with her cat, Zora, and fellowship at her church.
